My husband and I watched The East Palace together and we both loved it. The story was compelling with its blend of dark horror, fantasy and Korean folklore/shamanism. Gu-cheon and Saeng-gang were characters it was easy to get behind, and the storyline was interesting, with twists and turns along the way as more was revealed about the dark secrets at the heart of the palace. The series was atmospheric and beautifully shot, especially the presentation of the action/fight sequences which had great VFX and stunning cinematography. There also needs to be a special shout-out to the super-cute Ggeomeoksali! This was a five-star watch for both of us and I recommend it to fans of historical drama and dark fantasy.
