Two dancers, opposites in all but their art, agree to train together for a competition. At first, they clash, but soon become drawn to each other.
I am always up for some BL, so I set a reminder on this film as soon as it came up on the Coming Soon list on Netflix. I have not read the original manga this movie is based on, so I went in with no expectations and generally I enjoyed watching it. The plot idea was simple but effective: two dancers in different disciplines who train together in each other's styles in order to enter a competition. The dancing throughout looked great, the story moved at a good pace, and I loved the performances of the two leads. They had great chemistry as well, and there were certainly some sizzling moments between them. The ending was satisfying in some ways, but also disappointing in that we never actually got to see them make it to the 10 dance competition. I would love there to be a sequel to continue their tale. All up, I giving this one 4.5 stars. I found it delightful and could happily watch it again.
