Book Tag: The Christmas Carol Challenge

Today I am taking part in the Christmas Carol Challenge Book Tag. I haven't been able to determine the creator of this tag, but if you know, please comment below and I will credit them.

The questions are:

The Ghost of Christmas Past: a book you loved this year

The Ghost of Christmas Present: a book you are currently reading

The Ghost of Christmas Future: a book you're looking forward to reading next year

Here are my responses:

The Ghost of Christmas Past: a book you loved this year

This was a hard one, as I have had a few standout years for 2025, but in the end I have gone with The Irresistible Urge to Fall for your Enemy by Brigitte Knightley. I chose this one over others because it took me by surprise with how much I enjoyed it and also helped get me out of a bit of a slump after reading several fantasy books I only found mediocre.

The Ghost of Christmas Present: a book you are currently reading

At the time I am preparing this post I am reading Katabasis by R.F. Kuang. I am about halfway through and am enjoying it so far. My review will probably post just before this post goes live, so glance back in my feed to check it out.

The Ghost of Christmas Future: a book you're looking forward to reading next year

Given my choice in the first question I will have to go with The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy by Brigitte Knightley. Having enjoyed book one so much I am keen to see how the story concludes.
