When two young pianists from completely different worlds meet at an elite music high school, the melodies of their lives become intimately intertwined.
Four Hands, Two Sonatas was an excellent drama from start to finish. It began as a tale of friendship and rivalry before taking on more of a thriller edge from the midpoint onwards. Song Kang and Lee Jun-young had great on-screen chemistry. I saw mention online that this piece may have started as a BL work that was later toned back from any romantic implications, and I could certainly see it working well with that extra layer, even though it was fine as it was too. The season was perfectly paced with plenty of tension along the way, and all the characters were really well constructed and believable. It was quite the emotional rollercoaster too, but one with a satisfying ending. I am giving it 5 stars. Recommended to fans of intense, emotion-packed drama and classical music fans.
