Writing Better Lyrics is a book that offers some good advice to songwriters relating to things like rhyming, meter and structure. The information was interesting, but I thought it a shame that so many of the exercises relied on having a group of people with whom to share ideas and collaborate. It would have been pleasing to see some alternatives presented for people who are working solo and don't have any opportunities for group work. In a few of the cases, I could see ways the exercise could be adapted for individuals, so it would be worth including that for any future editions. Otherwise, though, this is a useful resource for anyone interested in songwriting. I am giving it 4 stars.
