Murder is on the rise, and the bodies keep piling up. For police officer Isogai Shirou, solving these killing sprees is his sole purpose. He’ll stop at nothing to find these deranged murderers and has thrown himself entirely into the investigation. So when a mysterious informant begins tipping off the police about serial killers before they strike again, Isogai sees a chance at a breakthrough. But the source isn’t at all what he a young woman named Kuroi Hinata who seems to have a “sixth sense” that helps her find killers.
Together, this unlikely duo dives into the city’s darkest corners, hunting monsters in human skin. Because for Isogai, this is more than justice—it’s personal.
Tonight, I Have a Date with a Serial Killer Vol. 1 was a quick and entertaining manga. I really loved the premise and the two main characters, Isogai Shirou and Kuroi Hinata, The art was all beautifully drawn and the panels nicely plotted. If I have one small complaint it's that the cases seemed to be solved/passed a little too quickly: there could have been a bit more tension build up at times. But overall, this was a great plot idea and was well presented and I can see myself continuing the series. I am giving it 4 stars.
I received this book as a free eBook ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
