Today I am taking part in the TBR Talk Book Tag and I welcome
anyone who likes the concept to join in! I am unsure of the creator,
but if you know please comment below and I will credit them.
A book you are desperate to get to: The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy by Brigitte Knightley, which is only a few weeks away from publication now.
A book you have high hopes for: Victorious by V. E. Schwab (I am so looking forward to this in October.)
A book you want to take your time reading: Murder Mindfully by Karsten Dusse (I recently enjoyed the TV series and now want to give the original book series a try.)
A book from your favourite genre: I am looking forward to reading The Red Winter by Cameron Sullivan soon, as it combines two of my favourite genres -- fantasy and historical fiction.
A book recommended by a friend/bookstagram: I first came across Mrs Shim is a Killer by Kang Ji-young via an Instagram post, so I grabbed a copy during my last book-shop and am excited to read it soon.
A book you've been putting off because you're unsure it'll meet your expectations: I can't pinpoint an exact book on my current TBR for this question. However, there are quite a few romantasy titles I have on my wishlist, but I haven't rushed to buy/borrow them yet as I am worried that, having read a lot of romantasy of late, they will just feel like more of the same and won't captivate me. I'll maybe await a romantasy reading lull before I consider them more seriously.
A book that's been on your TBR a while: There's nothing I can mention here as I keep my TBR under control and nothing stays on it longer than six months before being read. At present, I am up to date with everything purchased and requested before the end of April. There are only a few recent acquisitions to get to.
