A tenacious investigator goes undercover at a securities firm to expose corruption, but her mission is complicated by its new CEO — her former lover.
Undercover Miss Hong was a mostly enjoyable series that is billed as an office comedy but which also incorporates elements of a corporate crime story and a mystery/investigation. The premise was fun and allowed for plenty of humour, although the show also had its serious and emotional moments too. The espionage part of the story worked well, but I found some of the relationship aspects, especially between Hong Keum-bo and Shin Jeong-woo a little underdeveloped at times; I felt like more could have been explored with that side of things. Nonetheless, the pacing was good, the supporting cast all well-developed and memorable characters and it was fun to watch from start to finish. I am giving it 4 stars. It's not one of my all-time faves, but I did like it.
