Smart, sarcastic and a little dead inside, Wednesday Addams investigates twisted mysteries while making new friends — and foes — at Nevermore Academy.
I really don't watch much English-language TV these days, but I decided to give Wednesday a try because 1) I used to like the Addams Family old TV series and films, 2) I had heard a lot of people saying it was good, and 3) Tim Burton was at the helm. And, I am pleased I gave it a watch as it is a well-crafted show. I liked the casting and performances, the story was engaging, it was excellent visually (thank you, Tim Burton), and all up it kept me entertained throughout both seasons. I will definitely watch season 3 when it comes out. Despite being set around teen protagonists, the show is fairly dark at times, so is more suitable and older teens and upwards. Recommended if you like black humour and things a little bit macabre. I am giving it 4.5 stars.
