Beyond the Bar was a fine legal drama. I enjoyed the initial setup and the characters, and it was fun to watch their developing relationships. The cases they dealt with each week were not too predictable and therefore held my interest, and the pacing in each episode and across the series was good. Perhaps the only thing that let it down ever so slightly for me was the fact that I had expected a slightly stronger romance element. It was there, but it was very minor. The ending implied certain things but didn't deliver a definite conclusion on them. I am giving this series 4 stars in the end. It was definitely enjoyable and worth a watch if you are a fan of legal dramas and don't mind less on the romance front.
