Season 2 of The Sandman was an enjoyable continuation (and completion) of the story. Perhaps the narrative felt a little choppier compared to season 1, leaping here and there, but the interludes were all fun, so I didn't mind too much, and that did give it a dream-like feel. Although I loved the Dream of season 1, I also appreciated seeing him grow and change more during this second season. I think that progression helped to make the ending even more poignant, painting him very much as the tragic hero. Tom Sturridge's performance in this role has been excellent throughout and is a key factor in why this show worked so well. I came to this series with no prior knowledge of the graphic novel, and Tom's embodiment of Morpheus is what first drew me in. The special effects look good and I loved (in both seasons) the dark atmosphere and cinematography. This is a series I could see myself watching again and enjoying as much the second time. I am giving it 4.5 stars (both for this season and for the series overall).
