Twin sisters, whose similarities end with their looks, swap identities amid personal struggles, embarking on a journey to rediscover love and life.
I had heard good things about Our Unwritten Seoul, which is why I bumped it up to the top of my watch list, and I agree with the thumbs-up verdict on this piece. It was a well-paced, thoughtful drama that also packed an emotional punch. It covered some deep themes such as workplace bullying, recovering from emotional trauma and self-harm, and it did so in a considerate way that showed the bad but also provided hopeful yet realistic outcomes. The way things tied up at the end felt satisfactory without being unbelievably bright and happy. Park Bo-young gave an outstanding performance playing both twin sisters in a way that you could clearly tell them apart, and the supporting cast also acted well. There is a lot of nuance in meaning in the Korean title for the show which sadly can't be captured in the English rendering -- just something that stood out to me. The piece was well shot, and cleverly done too when both twins are in the shot, and it had a soundtrack that was pleasing without distracting from the action. Recommended to fans of dramas with a hint of romance. I am giving it 5 stars.
