Lighting Up the Stars is a film I only watched because of Zhu Yilong, and his performance was a key highlight of the piece since he is such a skilled and nuanced actor. The rest of the cast also performed well, especially the young girl, and the story itself was interesting and endearing. In some ways, though, I wish it had been a mini-series and not a film as I would have liked to have spent longer exploring the relationships between the characters. Overall it was a good watch, and one I would recommend to fans of emotional drama, and I am giving it four stars.
