Our Blooming Youth was a fun series that was part historical drama, part romance and part murder investigation. I am not generally a big fan of Park Hyung-sik for the incredibly weird reason (I know) that I find his ears distracting when I am watching him, but that distraction aside, I enjoyed his performance and that of the other cast members. This was another cross-dressing historical drama with not one but two young women masquerading as men with no one seeming to notice anything amiss. But I am always willing to let that go. The murder mystery elements all worked well, with a backstory that was well developed without becoming overly convoluted. The pacing overall was good, and even the wrap-up in the final episode didn't feel too prolonged. Overall, a very fun and watchable drama recommended to fans of historical series. I am giving it 4.5 stars.
