Keiichi Hozumi (30) is a perfect man who has been blessed with everything. The company he started is going well, his private life is very fulfilling, and everything in life is as he pleases. Except for one thing: he is extremely lonely.

He can't sleep unless he sleeps with a girl, so every night he has a girl wait for him in bed, and the one who cleans up the mess is always his secretary, Ibuki. Keiichi's junior from college, and even now he is looked after by her both in private and public.

One day, Keiichi got drunk and suggested a threesome with a girl, and Ibuki was furious! Yes, in fact, Ibuki has been harboring feelings for Keiichi for eight years, and is still in unrequited love. Ibuki's reason, which has been stirred up by the unconscious Keiichi, is finally reaching its limit of patience! A pure love/love seesaw game between a younger, obsessive seme and a selfish princess who plays with women!

Cute But Not Cute had a fun premise. I liked the dynamic between the two characters; however, I wished there was more time to get to know them, as my sense of them only felt superficial, especially since intimate scenes did make up a fairly large chunk of the book. The artwork was excellent, though: clear and expressive. Overall, I am giving this one 3.5 stars. I liked the art and the premise but would have appreciated the opportunity to get to know the characters more deeply. Recommended for contemporary BL manga fans, but with the advisory that this one is at the more explicit end of the BL spectrum.

I received this book as a free eBook ARC via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
