A brilliant narcotics detective always puts his principles first, but a complex case involving a childhood friend draws him into a web of drugs and lies.
Connection was a gripping thriller. The story moved along at a good pace, with new layers added with each new episode. At first I queried some of the lead character's decisions, but an explanation was given for them a few episodes in and it made sense. The cast all gave good performances and the show was well shot and atmospheric. I wasn't sure it was necessary to have so much recap at the start of every episode, but I guess it did help as a nudge to the 'connections' as they formed. Overall, I recommend this one to fans of K-drama thrillers and crime stories. I am giving it 4.5 stars.
